Poway Real Estate
In 1980, Poway incorporated and became the City of Poway, an entity separate from the County of San Diego. It justifies its nickname of the “City in the Country” despite its burgeoning population because it has been designated a “Tree City” for the last nine years. Poway is the location of the Blue Sky Ecological Reserve, Lake Poway, and many minor hiking and horse riding trails. According to estimates by the San Diego Association of Governments, the median household income of Poway in 2005 was $96,474 (not adjusted for inflation). When adjusted for inflation (1999 dollars; comparable to Census data above), the median household income was $78,340.
